Getting there by train
The Press Centre is just a short walk from Garmisch-Partenkirchen railway station.
Getting there by car
Arriving from the north:

A12 / E60 Inntal motorway
B2 / E533 Mittenwald - Klais - Kaltenbrunn - Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Getting there by plane
The following airports are in the area: Munich, Stuttgart and Memmingen.
Local traffic situation
It is expected that road traffic in and around Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be extremely heavy from 6 to 8 June 2015 due to high levels of traffic, police checkpoints and a lack of sufficient parking facilities. We therefore recommend that you use public transport to get to the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
A car park with attendants will be available on the Schwaiganger Stud Farm (Gestüt Schwaiganger) near the A95 (Murnau/Kochel exit) for media representatives arriving by car. A shuttle bus will be provided to take you to and from the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Media representatives will need an email confirming their accreditation with the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government in order to be able to use the car park and board the shuttle bus.
Accommodation for journalists travelling independently
All media representatives must find their own accommodation in Garmisch-Partenkirchen or in the surrounding area. Contact the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Tourist Board for more information.
As the tourist season begins in June, we recommend that you book your accommodation as soon as possible. When contacting the Tourist Board you should mention that you are a journalist and that you will be working at the G7 Summit.
