G7 summit gets off the ground
First working session at Schloss Elmau
G7 summit participants have met for their first working session. Economic matters were top of the agenda. Before the working session the Chancellor rolled out the red carpet to welcome her guests to Schloss Elmau.

The heads of state and government from France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Canada and the United States of America have met with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk for their first working session at Schloss Elmau. The items on the agenda were the global economy, growth and values.
On Saturday evening and Sunday morning the G7 participants flew into Munich Airport, where they were met by Bavarian Premier Horst Seehofer. A helicopter took them on to Schloss Elmau where Angela Merkel was waiting at the red carpet to welcome her guests. Before their meeting, the heads of state and government and the two EU representatives met in front of the summit venue for the traditional group photo.
