Opening reception in the International Media Centre
The Press and Information Office of the Federal Government and the Bavarian State Government invite you to the opening reception in the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at 18:30 on 6 June 2015.
The motto for the evening will be “Meet Germany – Welcome dahoam”. Guests can look forward to an entertaining programme and the opportunity to meet interesting people, to talk and relax in an informal atmosphere in various parts of the Olympic Ice Sports Centre.
Getting to and from the International Media Centre
It is expected that road traffic in and around Garmisch-Partenkirchen will be extremely heavy from 6 to 8 June 2015 due to high levels of traffic, police checkpoints and a lack of sufficient parking facilities.
We therefore recommend that you use public transport to get to the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
A car park with attendants will be available on the Schwaiganger Stud Farm (Gestüt Schwaiganger) near the A95 (Murnau/Kochel exit) for media representatives arriving by car. Please refer to the map on the G7 website for how to get there: http://www.g7germany.de/Webs/G7/DE/Medien/Anreise/anreise_node.html.
A shuttle bus will be provided to take you from there to the International Media Centre in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and back again. Media representatives will need an email confirming their accreditation with the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government in order to be able to use the car park and to board the shuttle bus.
There will be no parking facilities next to the International Media Centre.
